General Decorating Tips

• Before filling a large area, make a thin line around the area and then wait a few minutes for it to dry before you fill the area
• If you want two adjacent areas to look distinct, first complete one area, then let it dry for 10-15 minutes before starting the adjacent area
• To get a layered look, let the first layer dry for 10-15 minutes before adding the next layer
• Use your cookie "scribe" (i.e. toothpick) to clean up small mistakes or to move sprinkles around
  • Your scribe can also be used to make patterns in the icing when you have two wet colors in the same area
